2025 Fall Recreation

Washington Youth Soccer uses the calendar year (Jan-Dec) instead of the school year (Sep-Aug) for age groups. If the child you are registering has a Jan-Aug birth month, you will be given the option to register for one of two age groups.

If you are unsure which to choose, choose the younger age group (e.g. "Under 09" instead of "Under 10"). This can be changed later if necessary. Just make a note in the teammate or coach preference if you have one.

Example:

A child with a birth year 2016 will be "Under 10" for the Fall 2025 season. Children born Jan-Aug 2016 will probably be entering 4th grade, while those born Sep-Dec 2016 will probably be entering 3nd grade.

For the Jan-Aug 2016 kids, they may have 4th grade classmates with birth dates of Sep-Dec 2015 who will be "Under 11" for the soccer season. So if your child wants to play on the same team as one of these children, they would need to "play up" to "Under 11".

Again, if unsure, choose the younger age group and note your preference in the "Coach Request" or "Teammate Request" field.

If you wish for your child to play up a level but are not given that option, put your request in the "Teammate Request".

NOTE: "Rising Grade" in the registration form is the child's grade beginning September 2025.

PLAYER PROFILE PICTURES: Individual player pictures are required for all U11 and older teams. Please upload a profile photo (preferably .JPG) when registering so we don't have to try to work this out when the season begins.

Photos should be headshots that are clear, centered, and a front view of the player’s face with eyes open. No sunglasses or hats that hide the player’s face.
