The Fircrest Soccer Club is a non-profit volunteer organization that sponsors
youth soccer teams with approximately 400 players. We are one of 14 clubs in
the Tacoma-Pierce County Junior Soccer Association (TPCJSA), which is one of 9
associations in District 3, which is one of 7 districts in the Washington State
Youth Soccer Association (WSYSA). WSYSA oversees about 9000 youth soccer teams
in Washington with over 110,000 players! WSYSA is one of the member state
organizations in Region IV belonging to the U.S. Youth Soccer Association
(USYSA), which is a member of United States Soccer Federation (USSF), which is
a member of Federation Internationale de Football (FIFA), the governing body
for worldwide soccer.
The Fircrest Soccer Club is governed by its Board of Directors.
Club meetings are held at 7PM on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Fircrest Rec Center.
Every team is entitled to send a representative to board meetings.
Parents and players are also invited to attend and participate in discussions.
If you have a particular subject that you want to discuss, you must contact the
Club President
in advance to get on the agenda.
Board elections take place at the annual general meeting.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Registration fees vary (see our Registration page).
But the Registration Fee only pays for registration.
There are extra costs.
For instance, each player needs shinguards and soccer shoes.
Generally, the Club provides teams with uniforms, balls, cones and other soccer equipment.
However, each team may need extra money for additional balls and coaching equipment.
Some teams enter tournaments and the fees for these tournaments are paid by the individual teams.
Some teams also pay to rent fields, to travel together or pay a stipend to a guest coach.
In other words, we can't tell you how much it will cost to play soccer for your child's team.
To get a better idea, contact the coach of the team that interets you.
